A time that shaped our world.

Activism in the 80s takes you on a riveting journey through the political and cultural forces that defined the 1980s - and continue to influence our lives today.

Andrew Muir - Creative Director Ardent Theatre Company

“Incredible work... way beyond what we initially imagined in terms of style, content and excellence in production.

Activism in the 80s was produced by Creative Kin for Ardent Theatre Company.

Ardent commissioned the podcast as part of the education and heritage offer attached to the stage production of Strike! - Tracy Ryan’s play based on the Dunnes Store strike.

Ardent wanted to reach a new audience with the podcast, create an evergreen legacy product from the stage show, and raise the profile of the company and its work.
